Freedom to Choose Self-Employment Arrives in DC

Freedom for individuals to voluntarily choose self-employment arrived as an issue in Washington DC on Sunday August, 28th, 2022.

In a post in the Daily Caller, Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), said, "The right to 'be your own boss' will be restored nationwide." Mr. Norquist listed six major categories of reform that Republicans should implement immediately in 2023. The freedom to work as one's own boss was his fourth reform.

Over 60 million American families currently earn income from voluntary self-employment. 10 million more are expected

to earn income from self-employment by end of 2024, bringing the total to over 70 million.
